Same tiers, different price, more execution.
Looking for a Peec AI alternative? growResonance and Peec AI both track how ChatGPT, Gemini and other AI models talk about your brand. Their plans line up almost one to one: 50, 150 or 350 prompts, three models, daily runs. What sets them apart is price, how answers are collected, and what you can do with the data afterwards. On top of that, growResonance is open source: self-host it with your own API keys or use the hosted version.

Why teams choose growResonance over Peec AI
When two tools offer the same prompt volume, the decision comes down to a few questions. Can you see how it works? What does it cost? How trustworthy are the numbers? And how quickly does a number turn into a fix? Here is where growResonance differs:
- Open source
- Lower list price
- Interface-based measurement
- From metric to finished task
- White-label agency plans
1. Open source: inspect the code, self-host, stay independent
growResonance's source code is public on GitHub under AGPL-3.0. You can run the tool on your own infrastructure for free and only pay for your own API usage and servers. Your data stays with you, and you can verify exactly how measurements work by reading the code.
There is no lock-in: the code remains available even if you cancel the hosted version. If you would rather not run a server, use the hosted version with EU hosting in Frankfurt. The documentation describes which features are included when you self-host.
2. Matching prompt volume at a much lower list price
Both vendors use nearly identical tiers: 50 prompts to start, 150 in the middle, 350 at the top of self-serve. growResonance charges €20, €60 and €115 per month on a 12-month term. Peec AI's pricing page lists $95, $245 and $495 per month. You get comparable prompt volume for a far lower list price.
3. Answers collected through the model interface
growResonance asks ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode through their interface, just as a user would in the browser. Every answer is stored with position, sources and full text, so you can read exactly what the model said. For ChatGPT, growResonance also shows the sub-queries (query fan-out) the model runs to build its answer. Peec AI states that each prompt runs once every 24 hours on each selected model; its site does not detail the collection method.
4. From a metric to a finished task
Every growResonance run produces prioritized tasks. The built-in agent explains why a model skips your brand on a given prompt and only creates tasks after you approve them. Once a task is done, growResonance tracks how the affected prompts move. The article assistant writes drafts with fact-checking and a content score for Google and AI search. A technical audit checks AI bot access, llms.txt, structured data and page speed, with a fix prompt for each finding. Peec AI offers recommendations too ("Act on Insights"), such as setting up a profile on a frequently cited review site.
5. Fixed-size agency plans with white-label reports
growResonance has two agency plans: Studio covers 5 client workspaces, Agency covers 10. Reports come as slides, PDF or a shareable link with your logo and no growResonance branding. An account overview shows every client side by side. Peec AI runs an agency page and partner program; agency pricing is not listed on its public pricing page.

growResonance vs. Peec AI: feature comparison
Tracking and data quality
growResonance runs ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode every day through their interface. For each answer you see whether you were mentioned, in which position, which sources were cited and the exact wording. Results can be split by location. Failed queries are credited back to your quota.
Peec AI runs each prompt every 24 hours on the models you choose. You can filter by model, country and prompt tags, for example to compare the US with the UK. Its core metrics are visibility (share of chats with a mention), position and sentiment.
Competitors and sources
Compare competitors and sources
growResonance benchmarks your brand against competitors on visibility, share of voice, position, sentiment and rank, per model and week by week. Source analysis groups cited sites by type: trade press, user-generated, reference, your own site or a competitor. A filter surfaces sources where you are missing.
Peec AI groups brands into categories such as "Leaders" and "Niche Players". On sources, it separates "used" (content informed the answer) from "cited" (the URL is named). That split is a useful detail growResonance does not offer in the same form.
Execution: agent, articles and technical audit
This is the biggest gap between the two. growResonance turns tracking data into prioritized tasks. The agent knows your workspace and answers questions like "Why does Gemini leave us out here?" on any page. The article assistant drafts content from the AI answers and the Google top 10, with fact-checking and a content score. Existing pages can be optimized automatically and exported as HTML or Markdown.
The technical audit checks whether AI bots may crawl your site, whether an llms.txt exists, where structured data is missing and how fast pages load. Each finding comes with a fix prompt. Peec AI offers recommendations and prompt suggestions with search volume; its website does not describe article creation or a technical audit.
Client and leadership reporting
growResonance builds reports as slides, PDF or links tied to live data, using your logo and colors. Links can be password-protected and expire after 7, 30 or 90 days. On agency plans, all growResonance branding is removed.
Peec AI focuses on shareable reports and a Looker Studio connector for client-ready dashboards. If your agency already reports in Looker Studio, that is a clear point in Peec AI's favor.
Integrations
growResonance connects to Google Search Console and offers an MCP connector for Claude and ChatGPT; Google Analytics 4 for visits from AI services is coming soon. Peec AI offers MCP, a REST API for custom pipelines, the Looker Studio connector and CSV exports. If you need to push data into your own systems, Peec AI is currently better equipped.

Is growResonance open source?
Yes. growResonance's source code is public on GitHub under AGPL-3.0. You can read it, verify how measurements work and run the tool on your own servers. If you would rather not manage servers, the hosted version runs on EU infrastructure in Frankfurt, with no server setup on your side.
How much does self-hosting cost?
The software itself costs nothing when you self-host. You pay only for your own API keys with the AI and data providers, plus your server. How much that adds up to depends on how many prompts you track and how often. The documentation lists which features are included.
How reliable is AI visibility data?
AI answers vary from one query to the next, which is why both tools track daily and focus on trends rather than single results. growResonance collects answers through the model interface, the way users see them, and stores every answer for review. The documentation explains the method in detail.
Can I share reports with clients?
Yes. growResonance produces slides, PDFs or links with your logo and colors. On the Studio and Agency plans, no growResonance branding appears. Links can be password-protected and set to expire after 7, 30 or 90 days. Peec AI relies on Looker Studio for client dashboards.
Does growResonance have an API?
growResonance offers an MCP connector so Claude or ChatGPT can read a workspace's data directly. It does not currently offer an open REST API like Peec AI. Google Search Console connects natively, and Google Analytics 4 is coming soon. See the MCP page for setup details.
What contract terms apply?
Every growResonance plan is available month to month or on a 12-month term at a lower monthly price. After the minimum term, the contract continues monthly with no automatic one-year renewal. Peec AI offers monthly billing or, according to its website, a 15% discount when paying annually.
Can I switch from Peec AI without losing data?
Your historical data stays in Peec AI, which offers CSV exports according to its website. You can recreate your prompts in growResonance or expand them with prompt research, and tracking starts with the next daily run. Running both tools in parallel for a few weeks makes the trends easy to compare.
growResonance helps teams get seen in AI answers
growResonance and Peec AI solve the same problem with almost identical prompt volume. growResonance competes on price, interface-based measurement and the path from a metric to a finished fix. Peec AI wins on API access, Looker Studio and model breadth for enterprise buyers. If your goal is to become more visible, not just to measure, growResonance is the better fit. And because it is open source, you can self-host it for free and inspect the code at any time.
